Tower Hamlets approves plans by Pringle Richards Sharratt

Pringle Richards Sharratt has received planning permission to overhaul the grade II listed Poplar Baths in Tower Hamlets, east London.

The £36 million project includes the restoration and extension of the baths to include a leisure centre, cafe and gym, as well as 60 new council homes at the site.

Rabina Khan, cabinet member for housing, said: “As well as providing excellent facilities that the community can enjoy, this scheme will is so important because of the additional, much-needed homes it will bring.”

Construction work is scheduled to complete by the end of 2015.
