Oxford Preservation Trust Award 2009

Pitt Rivers Museum Main Entrance and Refurbishment

The Pitt Rivers Museum won a 2009 Oxford Preservation Trust Award:

The entrance to the museum has been transformed by restoring the original Victorian view, reinstating two new steel columns precisely modelled on the originals and significantly enhancing public access. An attractive new focal point to the space has been provided while greatly enhancing public use of the museum, with new learning facilities also added.
