Mare Street

PRS were appointed in December 2020 by London Borough of Hackney to review various redevelopment options regarding accommodating their Housing Depot that currently works from a site near the Town Hall onto a site further south along Mare Street. The existing site is close to the railway viaduct and contains two large warehouses. After a detailed review of LBH’s existing Housing Depot accommodation that works across four different sites in the borough, PRS developed a detailed mixed-use scheme that could deliver a consolidated maintenance depot in excess of 4000 Sqm, with a 200 Sqm retail unit directly onto Mare Street, as well as 55 residential units above with a landscapes high-level south facing courtyard.
