National Lottery funding secured for Pringle Richards Sharratt’s Staffordshire History Centre.

Over a thousand years of Staffordshire’s history is to be brought to life in an exciting new heritage project thanks to National Lottery funding. 

Jason Noble of Ipswich Star reports that Ipswich Museum obtained planning permission for its multi-million pound revamp, paving the way for the second stage Heritage Lottery Fund bid.
"Proposals for the HLF-backed improvements have been through several iterations, but on Wednesday morning secured unanimous approval from Ipswich Borough Council's planning and development committee. Those plans will include ramps and a terrace for outdoor seating, repairs to boundary walls, new stairs and plant room, improved southern side facilities, new lift and staircase, café and new toilets."

Jason Cobb at Brixton Buzz informs that Lambeth Council is going to grant match a fund of over £3m to restore Brockwell Hall and open it up for venue hire and income generation. £3.3m has been secured from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. In return the Council will make up the shortfall for the £6,310,943 project.

Jason Noble of Ipswich Star informs that the plan to 'decolonise' collections at Ipswich and Colchester museums over the next
six years has been agreed, which museum chiefs say will help address "problematic" displays and encourage greater diversity.

The Mayor of Hackney visited Springfield Park "to grab one last behind the scenes look at the restoration of Springfield House, stable block, new community space & play areas". PRS feel immensely proud to have played an important part in the restoration of this Grade II listed gem, supported by Dominic Cole Landscape Architects.

Great to have been part of the team that restored the Main Entrance to the British Museum.

Curo Construction, a privately-owned construction company predominately operating in Central London, has been selected as Principal Contractor to embark on essential refurbishments of the South Colonnade at the British Museum, a Grade I Listed estate. Essential refurbishment and building conservation works are being undertaken, which include the replacement of the copper roof finish to the South Colonnade. 

Work has progressed at a pace for the majority of the year and the restoration works are nearing completion.

The Mayor of Hackney, Philip Glanville, gives a sneak preview of the Springfield Park restoration project, which is set for completion in the spring.
