Penny Richards
Studied at the Architectural Association and University of Helsinki on a British Council research scholarship. Penny taught at the Architectural Association from 1978-1979, Oxford Brookes University 1990-1991, and was external examiner at South Bank University 1991-1993, University of Westminster 1994-1996, and the Bartlett, University College London since 2003. She was visiting tutor to the Graduate School University of Pennsylvania 2000-2001. She was a Council Member at the Architectural Association 1987-1991, and 1999-2003, and was Vice President 2002-2003. She served on the RIBA Education Committee 1999-2004, and RIBA Education Trust Fund Committee since 1998. She was an assessor for the Civic Trust Awards from 2001 to 2003 and is currently a Reader for the Queen’s Anniversary Prize. She is experienced in museum and exhibition design and leads the GuM Exhibition Design Studio of the practice. Penny has worked in Helsinki and London, was a partner at Pringle + Richards Architects, and is a Founder Director of Pringle Richards Sharratt.
